1. Overview
===========
This document provides information on the E-Series and EF-Series SANtricity OS (Controller Firmware), Controller NVSRAM, and
ESM (Environmental Services Module) Firmware, information regarding component dependencies, and resolved issues.

1.1 Archive Description
--------------------
The archive files use the following naming convention:
Eyyxx_nnnnnnnn.zip or Eyyxx_nnnnnnnn.tar.gz

yy = first two digits of the E-Series or EF-Series model name
nnnnnnnn = Controller OS package version

xx in the filename indicates that the files pertain to all controller-drive models for a particular controller model

For example, the following archives contain code packages for the E5512, E5524, E5560, and EF550 storage systems:

E55xx_08200500.zip
E55xx_08200500.tar.gz

1.2 Package Contents
--------------------
The archive files for this release contain the following:

- RC_08202000_e10_820_xxxx.dlp
- esm039E.esm
- Nxxxx-820834-DBA.dlp (Controller NVSRAM - Dual Controller version)
- Nxxxx-820834-SBA.dlp (Controller NVSRAM - Single Controller version)*

xxxx is the controller board ID. Refer to the archive name to ensure you have the correct package for your controller model (see section 1.1 for details)
*Single Controller NVSRAM is only included for those controller models that support single-controller operation

1.3 Component Version Formatting

1.4 Software Dependencies
--------------------
When you update a system with one component from a release, make sure that you update all components
from that release. Although there is backward compatibility between some of the components, certification
of the software, firmware, and drivers is done as a bundle.

The following table shows the specific SANtricity components and versions that were certified together
for this release. These software versions are available on the NetApp Support Site.
