--Installation--

In order to utilize one of the Configuration Files (TCF), perform the following steps:

7-Mode Storage System:
	1. Choose the appropriate Configuration File from the table, and right-click on the Configuration File. Click "Save As" and download the Configuration File. If a file extension has been added by your browser (such as .txt), rename the Configuration File to the file name as it appears in the table.
	2. Place the Configuration File into the /etc/tape_config directory.
	3. On the storage system console, run sysconfig -t and confirm that the tape drives are recognized.

Cluster-Mode Storage System:

You must log into the systemshell to access the Cluster-Mode storage systems. The systemshell is a low-level shell used for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes. The systemshell is not intended for general administrative purposes. Misuse of the systemshell can result in system failure and data loss or data corruption.

	1. Choose the appropriate Configuration File from the table, and right-click on the Configuration File. Click "Save As..." and download the Configuration File. If a file extension has been added by your browser (such as .txt), rename the Configuration File to the file name as it appears in the table.
	2. Move the Configuration File to an SSH enabled server or an http enabled server that the storage system can connect to via the node-management LIF.
	3. Log into the systemshell on the storage system which is connected to the SSH enabled server or http enabled server. Copy the Configuration File to this storage system.
    Via scp:
            % scp user@host:/path/to/TCF-file /mroot/etc/tape_config
    Via http:
        % cd /mroot/etc/tape_config
        % wget http://http_server_name/path/to/TCF-file

	4. Log into the storage system as a cluster administrator and change to the admin privilege level.
	5. Run the command system node hardware tape drive show to confirm the tape drives are recognized.
