501

Configuration storage area is nearing capacity

The configuration area (flash) is nearing redundant capacity. The configuration area is a circular buffer containing multiple copies of configuration data. At this level there is space for the current and at least one previous copy of configuration data.

Configuration data is stored in RAM as well as one or more copies in flash for persistency. In general, as long as there is at least one copy on flash, the system is fully protected after a reset. Current design has enough space for anticipated configurations.

To reduce space in configuration area: delete empty volumes and libraries, export unneeded volumes to physical media, complete any outstanding requests or actions, and delete any unused customers.

502

Configuration storage area is full!

The configuration area (flash) is full. At this level there is enough space only for the current copy of the configuration data. You are fully protected unless there is a problem during consolidation processing (unlikely). See 501.

503

Configuration storage area is dangerously close to capacity

The configuration area (flash) is nearing redundant capacity. At this level there is enough space for the current and possibly one previous copy of configuration data. You are still fully protected unless the current copy goes bad (very unlikely). See 501.

504

Configuration storage area has exceeded its capacity

The configuration area (flash) is full and data will be lost if the system is shut down. There is still a copy of configuration data in RAM; therefore there may still be time to rectify this situation. See 501.

505

Configuration storage area encountered an I/O error.

The configuration storage area has encountered an I/O error.
