Error Action Codes

An action is generated when there is a change in the state of the NearStore VTL appliance that requires user intervention. These actions are displayed on both the Administrator Overview and the Actions Required screens.

As an example, when your system is initially powered on, an action to set the time of your system is generated. This action requires you to set the time and date of your system to that of the local host.

When a required action is generated, the Action Required icon appears in the upper portion of the NearStore VTL GUI. This icon blinks until the action is either acknowledged or resolved. If the action is acknowledged, the icon stops blinking but is still displayed. If the action is resolved, the icon is no longer displayed, unless there are other unresolved actions.
