ARGUMENTS
| customer | Provides the functionality to set up and administer multiple customer accounts. |
| sp | Gives you the ability to group physical disks into mutually exclusive storage resources. |
| tape_validation | Turns on physical tape validation for the appliance. |
| tape_pick_list | Each time the backup application requests a tape (barcode) that is not in a virtual library, NearStore VTL generates an action. This action requests that you load the physical tape, identified by a barcode, into an available physical tape drive. |
| host_access | Enables and disables device access on a host-by-host basis. |
| port_mapping | Provides the ability to make virtual devices available only on specific front-end ports. |
| volume_set_addressing | Turn on this feature if you are using an operating system that requires volume set addressing. |
| enable_shadow_tape | Enables the creation of shadow tapes. |
| over_allocation | When you enable this feature, NearStore VTL allocates disk space to virtual tapes as needed, regardless of how many tapes you initially create. |
| enable_backend_0d | Uses Port 0d for backend devices. (VTL700 only) |
| enable_eep | With EEP enabled, the NearStore VTL can automatically manage the physical tape library entry/exit port to move physical tapes to the port, and to move tapes from the port to appropriate slots. |
| enable_auto_move_from_eep_ to_slots |
If enabled, the NearStore VTL automatically moves physical tapes from the entry/exit port to a slot. |
| enable_move_to_eep_after_ cloning |
If enabled, after the NearStore VTL finishes cloning a virtual tape to a physical tape, the physical tape is automatically moved from the library tape drive to the library entry/exit port. |
| enable_move_to_eep_after_export | If enabled, after the NearStore VTL finishes exporting a virtual tape to a physical tape, the physical tape is automatically moved from the library tape drive to the library entry/exit port. |
| deferred_cloning | If enabled, the span of time during which the NearStore VTL will not create clones. Any changes that are made to the virtual tapes during this time will be held in queue until the deferred cloning time period has expired. |
| use_acsls | Use ACSLS to control physical libraries. |
RESULT
A successful options set command sets options to user-specified values. If the arguments are invalid, options set returns a non-zero exit status and relevant error message.
