Adding a Storage Pool to the Appliance (sp add)

SYNOPSIS

sp add name description

ARGUMENTS

name	Name of the storage pool being created
description	Description of the storage pool

RESULT

If the arguments passed are valid, sp add adds a storage pool to the configuration of your NearStore VTL appliance. If arguments are invalid or if sp add fails, the command returns a non-zero exit status and relevant error message. Before adding storage pools, you need to enable Use Storage Pools option in Advanced Options.

Any disks that you add to your NearStore VTL appliance before you enable the Use Storage Pools option are associated with the default storage pool.

Note

You cannot move these disks from the default to a newly created storage pool.
