ARGUMENTS
| vlib_id | Name or barcode of the virtual tape to be updated. |
| export_needed | By setting this flag, you can force the export of the tape. |
| read_only | By setting this flag, you can make the tape read-only. |
| enable_disk_compression | Enables disk compression for tapes. |
| enable_tape_smart_sizing | Set if you want compression enabled. |
| tape_smart_sizing_type | If Tape Smart Sizing is enabled, specify which type of compression to use. The possible values are: LZS, lzs_c(LZS Conservative), ALDC, aldc_c(ALDC Conservative), ibm_lto, and none. |
RESULT
If the vlib_id is valid, the vtape update command updates the virtual tape with the user-specified values. If the vlib_id is invalid, vtape update returns a non-zero exit status and relevant error message.
A virtual tape that has been imported from physical tape does not need to be copied to a physical tape unless it has been modified.
