SYNOPSIS
diskfirmware status
ARGUMENTS
None
RESULT
A successful diskfirmware status shows detailed status information for each model of disk undergoing an upgrade. The display is organized by disk model, and lists the recommended firmware version, the total number of disks selected for upgrade, the currently active upgrades, the number of upgrades that have failed, and the number of pending upgrades. If the firmware installation fails, the diskfirmware status command lists the information for each disk that has failed or is in pending state.
If any of the upgrades fail, you cannot ignore the failure in the CLI as you can through the GUI. You must access the VTL's GUI, and fix or ignore the problem through the appropriate resolve link on the Admin page. To retry the failed disk, you must again execute the diskfirmware install command through the CLI. If you used a downloaded firmware image instead of a prepackaged firmware image, you must upload the file again to the VTL appliance.
