LUN Configuration Check |
The LUN Configuration Check page checks the configuration of LUNs, initiator groups, and FCP on the storage system and displays the results. The LUN configuration check information indicates:
Whether the initiator group ostype and FCP cfmode settings are compatible
Whether each storage system in a cluster is configured to the same FCP cfmode setting
Whether any FCP interfaces are down due to an offline host bus adapter
Whether any initiators have been assigned to initiator groups with incompatible ostype settings
Whether Asymmetric Logical Unit Access (ALUA) settings are configured for initiator groups. (ALUA is disabled by default; enabling ALUA for a host that does not support it can cause host failures during failover.)
Whether there are LUN mappings on the local storage system that conflict with mappings on the partner storage system.
Whether the FCP nodenames match, of the local and partner storage system.
The SSI (Single System Image) Check is run for the following reasons:
To ensure if the storage system is in a position to change to SSI mode from any other cfmode.
To check for LUN maps on the storage system that conflict with maps on the partner storage system, and for FCP nodenames of the local storage system and the partner storage system, that do not match.
