Manage iSCSI Interfaces

The Manage iSCSI Interfaces page allows you to view, enable, or disable interfaces for iSCSI.

As an iSCSI target device, the storage system can be accessed over any or all of its iSCSI network interfaces. Data ONTAP accepts iSCSI connections and requests over network interfaces enabled for iSCSI use but not over disabled interfaces. You can use FilerView to control which network interfaces the storage system uses for iSCSI connectivity. For example, you can configure the storage system to support iSCSI access only through the storage system's Gigabit Ethernet interfaces by enabling only those interfaces.

Note: Enabling or disabling an interface does not remove it from the target portal group to which it is assigned.

If the iSCSI service is stopped, Data ONTAP does not accept iSCSI connections or requests over any interface, regardless of whether the interface is enabled.
