About Real Time Status |
The Real-time Status feature offers the following three separate real-time information utilities:
Displays the storage system host name or IP address and the current global status.
The status displays green for normal behavior, yellow for non-critical problems, and red for critical problems.

Possible causes for non-critical and critical problems consist of the following.
|
Yellow light (non-critical problems) |
Red light (critical problems) |
|
Red light (critical problems) |
Failed fans |
|
Volumes are more than a certain percentage full |
Temperature is over threshold |
|
Real-time clock battery is dead |
Failed power supplies |
|
Cannot contact storage system for a short period of time (storage system or network is busy or down (for example, transient network failures) |
Cannot contact storage system (storage system or network is down) |
|
Not enough spare disks available on system |
Cluster status is disabled; cannot takeover, or is in takeover mode |

Displays the storage system operations activity per second. The colored bars that display in the Ops/sec window signify the following:
Blue = NFS ops
Red = CIFS ops
Green = HTTP ops
Yellow = iSCSI ops
Magenta = FCP ops
Note: See the table following the Filer At-A-Glance description for an explanation of the traffic light icon.

Filer At-A-Glance displays the following storage system information:
Host name or IP address
Global status
Up time
Refresh time (the drop-down list enables you to select 1 second, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, or 10 minutes)
Usage by Volume % (click this link to get file system by volume):

Network Output KB/sec
The colored bars that display in the Network File Ops/sec window signify the following:

Red = CIFS ops
Green = HTTP ops
Yellow = iSCSI ops
Magenta = FCP ops
The Performance Meter and Filer At-A-Glance utilities contain a traffic light icon, which designates the status of the communications with the storage system.
|
Traffic light color |
Meaning |
|
Green |
Successful communications with the storage system. This reflects that communication with the storage system is successful, not that the storage system is necessarily all right (except that it is actually up and responding to SNMP). |
|
Yellow |
Several timeouts in attempts to get storage system status have occurred. This could be caused by one of the following problems:
In the case of a short disruption, the color quickly returns to green. If disruption continues or the storage system is down, the color eventually advances to red. |
|
Red |
Indicates that additional timeouts in attempts to get storage system status have occurred (beyond those required to turn the color to yellow). This could be caused by one of the following problems:
If the status returns to normal, the color returns to green. |
|
All lights flashing |
All lights flashing simultaneously and continuously could indicate one of the several problems:
If status returns to normal, the color returns to green. |
