Schedule

Indicate how frequently you want the storage system to contact the time daemon server:

• hourly—Synchronize every hour. This is the default setting.

• multihourly—Synchronize every six hours.

• daily—Synchronize every day at midnight

You can also use the command line to specify a custom synchronization schedule. See the Data ONTAP System Administration Guide for details.

To avoid overburdening the time server, Data ONTAP randomly selects the exact time of the synchronization within a 20-minute window.
