Shut Down and Reboot |
In the Shut Down and Reboot page you can perform the following procedures.
To halt the storage system, complete the following steps:
In the Wait field, ensure that there is enough time to alert your CIFS clients about the impending shutdown.
In the Dump Core check box, select the box if you want to dump the system core before the shutdown.
Select Halt (or if part of a cluster, select Halt but No Takeover if you want to halt the storage system without it being taken over by its partner).
A dialog box is displayed asking Do you really want to halt <systemname>?
If you want to halt the storage system, click OK; if not, click Cancel.
If you clicked OK in the dialog box, you can continue to communicate with the storage system through the console. When you are ready to boot the storage system, if the storage system displays a mon> prompt, enter b; if the storage system displays the ok prompt, enter boot.
