Specify the host IP addresses of up to three name servers in the order that you want Data ONTAP to query them.
When a query to a name server on the list times out, Data ONTAP moves to the next one until it gets to the last name server in the list. Data ONTAP then restarts from the first server, retrying all the name servers until a maximum number of retries are made.
