Specify a comma-separated list of NIS servers that you want the filer to bind to. Begin the list with the NIS server closest on the network to the filer and end with the furthest NIS server.
If you want the filer to use NIS broadcast to bind to NIS servers if the servers preceding the asterisk in the list do not respond, specify an asterisk (*). The asterisk is the default setting.
