Expander Report

The Expander Report page displays expander information about each port. Only shelves with SAS modules have an Expander Report. The following information is displayed in the Expander Report page.

Information Type

Description

Port ID

Displays the ID of the port. The value is either a port number in the range of 0 to 255 or "in", "out", "aux1", or "aux2" representing input, output, or one of the auxiliary ports.

Port State

Displays the current port state.

Pathway Timeout (ms)

Displays the partial pathway timeout value in microseconds, used for the phy.

Link Rate (Gb/s)

Displays the link rate as a floating number If the port state is "ok". The value represents the SAS defined link rate value for the phy in Gigabit per second. Example: 3.0. For all other port states, this field is not available.

Invalid Dword Count

Displays the number of invalid double words seen outside of the phy reset sequence. The value is the count kept by the expander since either the power-on of the system or the resetting of the counts.

Running Disparity Count

Displays the number of Dwords with a running disparity error seen outside of the phy reset sequence. The value is the count kept by the expander since either the power-on of the system or the resetting of the counts.

Loss Dword Count

Displays the number of times the phy has lost double-word synchronization and restarted the link reset sequence of the phy reset sequence. The value is the count kept by the expander since either the power-on of the system or the resetting of the counts.

Phy Reset Problem

Displays the number of times the phy reset sequence has failed. The value is the count kept by the expander since either the power-on of the system or the resetting of the counts.

CRC Error Count

Displays the number of CRC errors that are seen in any address or data frames. The value is the count kept by the expander since either the power-on of the system or the resetting of the counts.

Phy Change Count

Displays the number of times the logical phy has changed state. The count increments when the logical phy transitions from disabled to enabled or enabled to disabled. The value is the count kept by the expander since either the power-on of the system or the resetting of the counts.
