Select which existing snapshot of the parent volume will be the base snapshot of the new FlexClone or choose to create a new snapshot of the parent volume to use at the base.
If you choose to create a new snapshot of the parent volume, Data ONTAP creates a base snapshot with the name cl_name_prefix.id, where cl_name_prefix is the name of the new FlexClone (up to 16 characters) and id is a unique digit identifier (for example 1,2, and so on.).
Whether you choose an existing snapshot or create a new snapshot, the base snapshot for the FlexClone cannot be deleted as long as the parent volume or any of its FlexClone volumes exists.
