Attention: When you split a FlexClone from its parent, all existing snapshots of the FlexClone are deleted.
To split a FlexClone from its parent volume, perform the following steps:
Select the checkbox for the FlexClone you want to split from its parent volume.
Click Split Start.
The split operation proceeds in the background and does not interfere with data access to either the parent or the FlexClone volume. The status of the split is displayed in the Split Status field.
Note: If you take the FlexClone offline while the splitting operation is in progress, the operation is suspended; when you bring the FlexClone back online, the splitting operation resumes.
To stop the split operation before it completes, click Split Stop.
