A Quota Report displays the current file and space consumption for each user or group with a quota and for each qtree.
A Quota Report contains the following information:
Default quota information, which is identical to the information in the /etc/quotas file.
Current disk space and the number of files owned by a user, group, or qtree that has an explicit quota in the /etc/quotas file.
Current disk space and the number of files owned by a user, group, or qtree, if the user, group, or qtree is currently occupying disk space.
The Quota Report: page displays information about each quota you created.
Volume: Name of volume to which the quota is applied.
Qtree: Name of qtree to which the quota is applied.
Type: Quota type, which can be user, group, or tree.
User: Name of the user, group, or Windows user ID.
Target: A quota target can be:
A user, as represented by a UNIX ID or a Windows ID.
A group, as represented by a UNIX group name or GID. Data ONTAP does not apply group quotas based on Window IDs.
A qtree, as represented by the path name to the qtree.
Disk Limit
Used: Current amount of disk space, in kilobytes, used by the quota target. The value is "-" if the limit is unlimited.
Hard: Hard disk space limit, in kilobytes, allowed for the quota target. The value is "-" if the limit is unlimited.
Soft: Soft disk space limit, in kilobytes, allowed for the quota target. The value is "-" if the limit is unlimited.
Note: Quota Report page shows Error in the form of a red image, if the used disk space exceeds 90% of disk- hard-limit. Quota Report page shows Warning in the form of yellow image, if the used disk space exceeds 80% of disk-hard-limit.
Threshold: Disk space threshold, in kilobytes, for the quota target. The value is "-" if the limit is unlimited.
File Limit
Used: Current number of files used by the quota target. The value is "-' if the limit is unlimited.
Hard: Maximum number of files allowed for the quota target (hard files limit). The value is "-" if the limit is unlimited.
Soft: Maximum number of soft files allowed for the quota target (soft files limit). The value is "-" if the limit is unlimited.
You can filter and display the particular type and volume you want to see by selecting values in the View Quota Type and View Volume drop-down menus and clicking View.
The options in the View Quota Type filter are All Types, user, group, tree, errors, and warnings.
The options in the View Volume filter are All Volumes and the names of individual volumes. The filter options are interdependent.
For example, if you select "user" from the View Quota Type
filter, the page will display the user's quota depending on the setting
in the View Volume filter.
Similarly, if you select any volume from the View Volume filter, the page
will display the quotas depending on the View Quota Type filter's setting.
Here is another example:
If you select "warning" from the View Quota Type filter and "vol0" from the View Volume filter then the page will display all the quotas of volume vol0 which have warnings.
Note: By default, the page displays all the quotas of all the volumes, i.e filter setting is "All Types" for View Quota Type filter and "All Volumes" for View Volumes filter.
Clicking the values under Volume, Qtree, Type, User, and Target takes you to the Type and Volume section of the Quota Rule Wizard.
The number of quota targets is displayed below the table in the Quota Report page.
Clicking the Refresh button refreshes the page and the latest quota report information is displayed.
