Configure Snapshot Copies

In the Configure Snapshots page you can perform the following procedure:

Configuring Snapshot copies:

To configure Snapshot copies, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Volume field, select from the drop-down list the volume on which you want to configure Snapshot copies.

  2. In the Snapshot Reserve field, enter the percentage of the reserve to use for Snapshot copies.

  3. In the Snapshot Directory Visible field, select the check box if you want to make the .snapshot directory visible.

  4. In the Scheduled Snapshots field, select the check box if you want to enable scheduled Snapshot copies.

  5. In the Snapshots to Keep fields (Weekly, Nightly, and Hourly), enter how many Snapshot copies you want to keep on this volume for each period of time.

  6. In the Hourly Snapshots Schedule clocks, select the check boxes that correspond to the hours you want to have Snapshot copies taken, both for a.m. and p.m.

  7. Click Apply.

Note: FilerView does not support Snapshot copies configuration for aggregates. Use the command-line interface to configure aggregate Snapshot copies. For details, see the Data ONTAP Data Protection, Online Backup and Recovery Guide.
