During server initialization, exportfs -a is executed from the /etc/rc script to export all files and directories listed.
Each export entry consists of a line of the following format:
option
is one of the following:
access=hostname[:hostname]...
Give mount access to each hosts listed. A netgroup
defined in /etc/netgroup can be specified in
place of a hostname for this option.
anon=uid
If a request comes from user ID of 0 (root user ID
on the client), use uid as the effective user ID
unless the client host is included in the root
option below. The default value is 65534. Setting
the value of "anon" to 65535 disables all
root access. A value to 0 grants root access to
all clients.
ro Export the pathname read-only. If not specified, a pathname is exported read-write.
rw=hostname[:hostname]...
Export the pathname read-only to all hosts not
specified in the list and read-write to the hosts
in the list. Netgroup names are not allowed in
the list.
root=hostname[:hostname]...
Give root access only the the specified hosts.
The default is for no hosts to be granted root access. Netgroup names are not allowed in the list.
In UNIX, it is illegal to export a directory that has an
exported ancestor in the same file system. Since Data ONTAP
supports just one large file system, this limitation would
be unduly restrictive. Thus, it is perfectly legal to
export both / and /home. In determining permissions, the
longest matching prefix is used. For example, the following
/etc/exports would allow all network clients to mount /home
but only host adminhost can mount /.
/ -access=adminhost,root=adminhost /home
