SNMP Enabled
For diagnostic and other network management services, the filer supports the SNMP MIB-II specification. Based on SNMP version 1, this specification provides data on the following MIB-II groups:
- system
- interfaces
- address translation
- IP
- ICMP
- TCP
- UDP
- SNMP MIB-II
SNMP commands permit a user to specify up to eight communities and trap notifications for up to eight management stations.
Contact
Specifies the e-mail address and telephone number of the person responsible for the filer (for example, jdoe@abc.com 415-555-1212). You can include the person's full name, but an e-mail address and a telephone number allow Network Appliance Technical Support to contact the right person after receiving an automatic e-mail via autosupport from your site concerning your filer status.
Location
Specifies the physical location of the filer (for example, ABC corporation, engineering lab). This value will be returned by the SNMP agent.
Communities
Names and defines the SNMP communities. The SNMP manager uses the community name as a password to communicate with the filer's SNMP agent.
Traphosts
Defines recipient of all SNMP traps from the filer.
