Date configuration
This window sets the time and date on the filer. After you make a change, click the Save Changes button to save the changes to the filer. To view the changes that you made, click the View Changes button. To reload the current settings from the filer, click the Reload button.
The configurable fields in this window are:
- Time Zone: Specifies the time zone appropriate to the location of the filer.
- Synchronize Time With: Specifies the target computer with which the filer uses the rdate command to synchronize its time. The target computer must use the UDP time service (typically UDP port 37). This service is available on most UNIX computers. There is currently no Windows 95 or Windows NT counterpart to the rdate command. To keep the filer's clock accurate, regularly run the rdate command on the filer with the target machine.
