cifs chown - change owner of a file or directory

SYNOPSIS

cifs chown share owner path

DESCRIPTION

THIS FUNCTION IS OBSOLETE AND HAS BEEN REPLACED BY THE NETAPP PERMISSIONS TOOL. THE FUNCTION WILL BE DELETED IN A FUTURE VERSION OF THE SYSTEM

This command changes the owner of a file or directory. (It permits an administrator using a DOS or Windows machine to change the ownership of a file accessed by UNIX clients.)

The command makes owner the owner of the file or directory identified by pathname path; path must be stated relative to the root directory of the share
