To modify a host prefix in the /etc/httpd.hostprefixes file, enter the appropriate information in one or more of the following boxes:
If you enter an IP address, the named directory is associated with the given virtual host, for IP-level virtual hosting. If the entry is a name, the directory is used for the virtual host with that name, using HTTP-level virtual hosts. Furthermore, the host name is looked up and if it resolves to an IP address used for an IP-level host alias, that IP address is used, as if the IP address had been listed. For example, the following entries indicate that an HTTP request which comes from the interface with address 192.225.37.102, or with an HTTP 1.1 Host: header specifying www.customer.com, is directed to the /customer directory, and the requestor can only access a file within the /customer directory.
