Create an /etc/exports entry
To add an exported path name to the /etc/exports file, enter the appropriate information in the following boxes:
- In the Path box, enter the path name of the volume, directory, or file to be exported.
- In the Permissions box, select one of the following permissions:
- rw-to export the path name read-only to all hosts not specified in the list and read-write to the hosts specified in the list.
- ro-to export the pathname read-only.
- In the Anonymous UID box, enter an anonymous user identification number. 65534 is the default value, which indicates that host has root access. Specifying the value 65535 disables all root access. A value of 0 grants root access to all clients.
- In the Comment box, enter any comments associated with the new export directory or file, preceded by the pound sign (#).
Click OK to record the information and close the dialog box.
Click Revert to erase the new entries.
Click Cancel to close the dialog box without recording the information.
