The Network Interface Configuration window also provides the following buttons that allow you to modify the configuration of the interfaces:

Reload. Click this button to load the current network interface configuration information from the filer.

Modify. Click the appropriate interface in the display box and click Modify to change the configuration of the selected interface.

Add Alias. Click the appropriate interface in the display box and click Add Alias to define an alias for the selected interface. Aliases are additional network addresses for the interface. Aliases are sometimes used to accommodate the changing of network numbers; the alias allows traffic to be received by the old interface. Aliases are required when you create IP virtual host addresses. If you select a vh (virtual host) interface, the IP address for that interface must be an alias. Use the Add Alias button to specify the IP address for a virtual host interface.

Delete Alias. Click the appropriate alias in the display box and click Delete Alias to delete an alias for the selected interface.
