Removing a disk

1. At the filer console, enter the following command:

   sysconfig -r

   to find out the disk name of the disk that you want to remove. For example, if the disk's SCSI ID is 4 and it is attached to SCSI adapter 0, the disk name is 0.4.

2. At the filer console, enter the following command:

   disk fail disk_name

3. At the filer console, enter the following command:

   disk swap

4. Follow the instructions in the hardware guide for your filer model to remove the disk. The procedure for removing a disk is now complete.
