Create an export option

To add a host or subnet for the exported path, select one of the following options for the host or subnet that can mount the path:

• root, which gives root access to the host
• access, which gives mount access to the host or net group
• rw, which gives read-write access to the host

NOTE: You can specify the access option for netgroups; root and rw options are only for hosts.

If the path is exported to a host or network group, enter the name of the host or network group.

If the path is exported to a subnet, enter a dotted IP subnet address and a mask written in the following format:

dotted_ip/num_bits 

dotted_ip can be an IP address ("a.b.c.d") or an IP subnet (a for a class A network, a.b for a class B network, or a.b.c for a class C network). The size of the subnet is specified by the number of leading bits of the netmask, num_bits.

Following are some examples of specifying the subnet:

• To export to all addresses of the form "123.45.67.x" with a 255.255.255.0 netmask (24 leading bits), enter 123.45.67.0/24 as the subnet address.
• To export to all addresses of the form "123.45.x.y" with a 255.255.0.0 netmask (16 leading bits), enter 123.45.0.0/16 as the subnet address.

Click OK to record the information and close the dialog box.

Click Revert to erase the new entries.

Click Cancel to close the dialog box without recording the information.
