After you double-click an entry in the left frame, FilerView prompts you for the filer password. This password is the filer password you created during the filer's initial setup.
Even if you did not specify a filer password during setup, you must press Enter or click OK in the FilerView Password Entry dialog box if you want to use FilerView.
In general, changes you make in FilerView take effect immediately and persist across reboots. Exceptions are noted in the on-line help files.
All FilerView screens and dialog boxes, except for the Real-time Display screens, provide a Help button for displaying on-line help. Clicking the Help button launches a browser window that displays the on-line help text appropriate to the current screen. When you click the Help button on a different screen, FilerView replaces the text in this window. If a browser window does not appear after you click a Help button, verify that the window is not iconified on your computer.
