Managing a cluster

Managing a cluster entails tasks described in the following topics:

"Managing the cluster in normal mode." You can enable or disable takeover, and monitor the cluster in normal mode to verify that it is functioning properly.
"Managing takeover." You can initiate a takeover.
"Managing filers in takeover mode." After a takeover, you can administer the takeover filer, perform maintenance on the failed filer, and initiate a giveback.
"Managing a virtual filer." You manage the virtual filer with the partner command.
"Performing a giveback." You can initiate or force a giveback.
