Establishing access to shares
Description
The following procedure creates the access rights to the current CIFS shares.
Steps
Complete the following steps to establish access to shares.

From FilerView, select the CIFS option.

From the CIFS option, select Share/Access Editor.
|
|

Select the specific share you want to provide access to and click New Access.
|

Choose either Access by Group or Access by User.
|

Enter the name of the user or group for whom you want to specify access right to the share.
|
|

In the Rights field, select the type of permissions you want to set for this share.
You can choose UNIX-style permissions, such as rwx, or Windows NT permissions, which are No Access, Read, Change, and Full Control.

Click OK to create the new access.
