The following list describes the fields in this window:
- Autosupport Enabled
- The autosupport daemon triggers automatic email messages to members of Network Appliance
Technical Support, alerting them to potential filer problems. If necessary, Network
Appliance will contact you at the email address that you specify to help you resolve a
potential system problem.
- Mailhosts
- The filer does not function as a mail host. The filer relies on another host at your
site that listens on the SMTP port (25) to send mail. Therefore, autosupport requires at
least one host reachable by the filer that runs an SMTP server or a mail forwarder such as
the sendmail program. By default, the administration host defined during system setup is
used as a mail host. You can specify additional mail hosts.
- To
- Recipients of autosupport email, specified as email addresses of recipients of messages
sent by the
autosupport daemon.
- Note to
- Recipients of short email messages generated by the
autosupport daemon,
specified as email addresses of the recipients. The short email messages are for urgent
events such as disk failures or filer reboots. They are useful if the person who should be
notified of urgent events reads email on a small screen such as that on an alphanumeric
pager.
- From
- Sender of autosupport email. It should be the email address of the person whom Network
Appliance contacts after receiving an automatic email message.
