Monitoring the DS14 LRCs

About monitoring the DS14 LRCs  Top

The DS14 LRC has three LEDs. The LEDs indicate whether the LRC is functioning normally or there any problems with the hardware. You can also identify any hardware failure associated with the LRCs from the error messages displayed on your storage appliance console.

Location of LRC module LEDs  Top

The LRCs are located in the middle of the back of the disk shelf. The LRC module contains three LEDs.

The following illustration shows the location of the LEDs for an LRC with copper interfaces.

Note
The Fault LED is amber. The other two LEDs are green. See Interpreting LRC module LEDs for an illustrated explanation of how the LEDs function.

The following illustration shows the location of the LEDs for an LRC with an optical input interface and copper output interface.

Note
Because LRC B on the DS14 is inverted, the location of the LRC B LEDs is the inverse of what is shown in the preceding illustrations.
