Verifying your software version

To display the version of Data ONTAP currently running on your filers, complete the following steps.

Step	Action
1	At the console of each filer, enter the following command: `version` Result The version number and version date are displayed, similar to the following: NetApp Release 6.0H1: Fri May 12 03:06:00 PDT 2000
2	Compare the information you gathered from Steps 1 through 3 with the information listed in Software requirements, then proceed to Verifying your filer and disk shelf firmware.
