The following diagram shows how the cluster interconnect adapters are cabled between the filers.

Caution
Verify that you correctly cabled the cluster interconnect adapters. The X and Y ports on the filer must be cabled to the corresponding X and Y ports on the partner filer. Incorrect cabling disables the takeover feature.

Cabling the cluster interconnect adapters

To cable the cluster interconnect adapters to the filers, complete the following steps.

Step	Action
1	Connect one end of the 4m cluster interconnect cable to the X port on the local filer, and the other end to the X port on the partner filer.
2	Connect one end of the 4m cluster interconnect cable to the Y port on the local filer, and the other end to the Y port on the partner filer.
3	Go to section Step 3: Cabling shelf 0 for takeover.
