Step 3: Cabling shelf 0 for takeover

The following diagram shows how the Channel B shelf 0 on the local filer is cabled to the partner filer and how the Channel B disk shelf 0 on the partner filer is cabled to the local filer.

Cabling disk shelf 0 to the filers

To cable disk shelf 0 of the local filer to the partner filer and vice-versa, complete the following steps.

Step	Action
1	Connect the HSSDC connector to the Channel B FC-AL port on the local filer and connect the other end of the cable to the Channel B LRC Input port on disk shelf 0 of the partner filer. Note Because the filer-to-shelf cable is long, it must crisscross behind the vertical trim piece on the rear of the system cabinets.
2	Repeat Step 1 for the partner filer.
3	Go to section Step 4: Completing setup.
