Step 1: Preparing your equipment

To prepare new equipment for clustering, complete the following tasks.

Step	Action
1	Install both filers. See the F700 Series Hardware Guide.
2	Label the FC-AL interfaces as described in Appendix A, Cluster Configuration Examples.
3	Install the disk shelves and set the disk shelf IDs. See the hardware guide for your fibre channel disk shelf.
4	Go to section Step 2: Cabling the Channel A loops.
