Replacing the chassis fan subassembly

About the chassis fan subassemblies  Top

Replacing a chassis fan subassembly consists of the following two procedures.

An F720 filer has two chassis fan subassemblies to circulate air through the chassis; the F740 and F760 filers have three chassis fan subassemblies. The chassis fans are secured to the front of the chassis.

Note
To maintain UL, CSA, and TUV safety certifications, you must obtain replacement chassis fan subassemblies from Network Appliance. Using unapproved replacement chassis fans voids the safety certifications.
