Adding a disk shelf to a cluster that has DS14 disk shelves

Step 1: Preparing to add the disk shelf

To prepare your new disk shelf for addition to your existing cluster, complete the following steps.

Disable negotiated failover in your cluster by entering the following command from the node console: 

cf nfo disable disk_shelf
Result

Negotiated failover is disabled.

Install the new disk shelf and set the disk shelf ID.

Plug in the new disk shelf and turn it on.

Go to Step 2: Cabling the new disk shelf.
