Disk drive status indicators

The following illustration shows the location of the disk drive status indicators. You must remove the bezel to look at these indicators.

The following table describes the disk drive status indicator lights.

Indicator type	Status indicator	Description
On-line indicator	Green	Round icon lit, indicating that the drive has power and is on-line.
On-line indicator	Off	Drive is off-line or has no power.
Drive activity	Flashing green	Indicates drive activity.
Drive activity	Off	No drive activity.
Drive failure indicator	Amber	Indicates that the drive has failed.
Drive failure indicator	Off	Indicates that the drive is functioning properly.
