System beep codes

About system beep codes  Top

The filer emits a series of beeps when an error is encountered that cannot be displayed on the system console. These beeps are sounded in a grouping of three beeps, with a pause between each grouping. For example, you might hear a single beep, followed by pause, another beep, followed by a pause, then three beeps.
