To open the filer for accessing the internal FRUs, complete following steps.

Ground yourself using an antistatic wrist strap, then shut down the filer using the halt command, if it is running.

Unplug the filer and disconnect it from all power sources.
WARNING You must unplug both power cords to remove all power from the filer. Turning off the filer with the power switch does not cut off current to the filer.

Slide the filer out of the rack
and remove the bezel.
Loosen the thumbscrews
from the top of the filer
front.
Slide and lift the cover off
the filer.
Tower system
Loosen the thumbscrews
from the front of the filer.
