Determining sufficient air conditioning
To determine whether you have sufficient cooling for your site, complete the following steps.
Step
Action
1 |
Add the BTU rates for all storage appliances, disk shelves, and any other hardware you plan to keep in one room.
2 |
Determine whether the air conditioning in your room can handle the total BTU rate.
Note If you need help in determining the total BTU rate, contact the heating/cooling expert for your site. |
3 |
If your room air conditioning cannot handle the BTU load of all your hardware, upgrade the air conditioning or install your hardware in another room.
