You can specify support for wide symbolic links in all users' home directory shares using cifs.homedir as the share name for home directories. When you enable wide symbolic links in home directory shares, CIFS clients can follow wide symbolic links in all home directory shares to destinations in the same share or outside the share.
To change support for wide symbolic links in CIFS home directory shares, complete the following step.

cifs shares -change cifs.homedir [ -widelink | ResultAll user's home directory shares are enabled or disabled for wide symbolic link support. |
