Understanding quota reports

How to display disk space thresholds

Commands for including disk space thresholds  Top

If the /etc/quotas file includes disk space thresholds, you can use the -t option to the quota report command to display the thresholds in the K-Bytes field of the quota report.

The quota report generated by the quota report -x command also includes disk space thresholds.

If you use both the -x and -t options, the resulting quota report is the same as the one generated by the quota report -x command.

Note
Disk space fields shown in a quota report can appear incorrect if you do not specify disk space limits and thresholds as a multiple of 4 KB. This happens because disk space fields are always rounded up to the nearest multiple of 4 KB to match disk space limits that are translated into 4 KB disk blocks.
