Deleting an Emulated LAN from an ATM adapter

To delete an Emulated LAN from an ATM adapter, complete the following steps.

Step	Action
1	Enter the following command to configure the interface that you want to delete down: *ifconfig interface* down** interface is the name of the logical network interface that you want to delete. Example The following command marks the el1 logical network interface as down: ifconfig el1 down
2	Enter the following command: atm elconfig delete ELAN -unit unit_number ELAN is the ELAN that you want to delete from the adapter. unit_number is the unit designator for the ATM adapter in the filer. Example The following command deletes the nineKMTU Emulated LAN for the adapter designated by unit 2: atm elconfig delete nineKMTU -unit 2
