Internet Protocol Security Configuration

This chapter explains how to set up and manage the Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) suite of protocols to secure information within a network. IPsec protects data being transferred between hosts and filers by

• Creating virtual private networks (VPNs) in which only users who have been authenticated can participate
• Periodically changing encryption and authentication keys to protect data from accidental or deliberate disclosure
