Enabling or disabling routed

About enabling or disabling routed  Top

You can turn the routed daemon on or off.

You can edit the /etc/rc file in the root volume to keep the routed daemon turned off across filer reboots. However, Network Appliance recommends that you always keep routed on, even if you do not want Data ONTAP to make routing decisions based on routing updates. Turning routed off could cause unexpected routing behavior in Data ONTAP.

To turn the routed daemon on or off, complete the following step.

routed {on|off}

Use on to enable routing or off to disable routing.
