Configuring virus scanning for vfilers

Enter the following command to specify the virus scanner for scanning files on a vfiler:

vfiler run vfilertemplate vscan options use_host_scanners 
{ on | off } 

Set the use_host_scanners option to On if you allow the vfiler to use the virus scanner registered with the hosting filer. The vfiler uses the virus scanner registered with the hosting filer only when the virus scanner registered with the vfiler is unavailable.

Set the use_host_scanners option to Off if you do not want to allow the vfiler to use the virus scanner registered with the hosting filer.

Note
The use_host_scanners option is applicable only to a vfiler you created. You cannot set it on vfiler0 or a filer.

Enter the following command to enable or disable virus scanning:

vfiler run vfilertemplate vscan { on | off }
